I closed my eyes & saw the light
I opened them but it took flight;
I realized then for me to see
I have to trust the light in me.

It's not by senses I perceive
This complex world which beckons me;
Not by reason or convention
But faith is what I have to mention.

Open windows, open doors,
Marriage is a picture for
The favor God endows on man
Causing mercy to remand

Who healed the sick and offered hope
For those whose pain was hard to cope;
Who stood by us when we were dross
And shared His love at any cost?

Like a marriage between two souls
In Christ two halves become a whole;
One life, one wife, one Lord, and more:
Heaven is worth waiting for.
